This is the perfect jacket to take on a weekend get-away. It's dressy; it's casual--and it doesn't wrinkle!

- Karabella Yarns Aurora 8 medium (worsted) weight yarn (1.75 oz/88 yds/50g balls):
- 6 [6, 8] balls #16 terracotta (A)
- 4 [4, 6] balls #1478 gold (B)
- 4 [5, 7] balls #1556 periwinkle (C)
- 4 [5, 7] balls #3 purple (D)
- 4 [5, 7] balls #1350 winter white (E)
- 4 [5, 7] balls #11 moss (F)
- Size F/5/3.75mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
- 6 (7/8-inch) buttons
Gauge
9 sts in pattern = 2 inches; 7 rows in pattern = 3 inches
Special Stitch
Dc increase: 2 dc in next st or (ch 3, dc) in first st
Note
When changing colors, drop first color to wrong side of work, pick up next color. Always change colors in last stitch made. Holding unused yarn loosely on wrong side, work over carried strands.

Pattern
Row 1 (RS): With A, dc in fourth ch from hook (first 3 chs counts as first dc), dc in each of next 2 chs changing to B in last st made (see Note), *dc in each of next 4 chs changing to A in last st, dc in each of next 4 chs changing to B in last st, rep from * across changing to C in last st, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in each of next 3 sts changing colors, [dc in each of next 4 sts changing color] across, turn.
Color Sequence
Row 1: A and B.
Row 2: C and D.
Row 3: E and F.
Rep rows 1-3 for color sequence.
Back
Row 1: With A, ch 86 [102, 118], work even in Pattern and Color Sequence over 84 [100, 116] sts until piece measures 14 inches, [14 1/2 inches, 15 inches] from beg, ending after WS row. Fasten off.
Next row: For armhole shaping, with RS facing, sk first 8 sts, join next color with sl st in next st, ch 3, continue in pattern across to last 8 sts changing color in last st, turn leaving last 8 sts unworked. (68 [84, 100] sts)
Next rows: Work even in Pattern and Color Sequence until piece measures 23 inches [24 inches, 25 inches] from beg, ending after WS row.
Next row: For first side neck shaping, work across first 19 [27, 35] sts changing colors in last st, turn leaving rem sts unworked.
Next row: Work even in Pattern and Color Sequence, turn. Fasten off.
Next row: For second side neck shaping, sk center 30 sts and join with sl st in next st, ch 3, complete in Pattern, turn.
Next row: Work even in Pattern and Color Sequence, turn. Fasten off.

Pocket Lining (make 2)
Row 1: With A, ch 25, sc in second ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (24 sc made)
Next rows: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Rep until piece measures 6 inches from beg. At end of last row, fasten off.
Left Front
Row 1: With A, ch 46 [54, 62], work even in Pattern and Color Sequence until piece measures 7 inches from beg, ending with WS row. (44 [52, 60] dc made)
Next row: Work in Pattern across first 10 [14, 18] sts; working across top edge of one Pocket Lining, work even in Pattern across Pocket skipping sts on Front, work in Pattern across rem sts on Front, turn. (44 [52, 60] dc)
Next rows: Continue even in Pattern until piece measures same as Back to armholes, ending with WS row. At end of last row, fasten off.
Next row: For armhole shaping, sk first 8 sts, join next color with sl st in next st, ch 3, continue in Pattern across, turn. (36 [44, 52] sts)
Next rows: Continue to work even until piece measures 20 1/2 inches [21 1/2 inches, 22 1/2 inches] from beg, ending with WS row.
Next row: For neck shaping, work across first 22 [30, 38] sts changing colors in last st, turn leaving rem sts unworked. (22 [30 38] dc)
Next rows: Work in pattern, dc dec in next 2 sts at neck edge on every row until (19 [27, 35] sts) rem.
Next rows: Work even in Pattern until piece measures same as Back to shoulders. At end of last row, fasten off.
Place six markers evenly spaced down front edge for buttons, making first and last buttons 1/2 inch from lower edge and beg of neck shaping.

Right Front
Note: For buttonholes, working across last 4 sts, dc in next st, ch 1, sk next st, dc in each of last 2 sts changing colors.
Row 1: With A, ch 46 [54, 62], work even in Pattern and Color Sequence working buttonholes (see Note) opposite markers until piece measures 7 inches from beg, ending with WS row. (44 [52, 60] dc made)
Next row: Work in Pattern across first 10 [14, 18] sts; working across top edge of one Pocket Lining, work even in Pattern across Pocket skipping sts on Front, work in Pattern across rem sts on Front, turn. (44 [52, 60] dc)
Next rows: Continue even in pattern working buttonholes opposite markers until piece measures same as Back to armholes, ending with WS row.
Next row: For armhole shaping, ch 3, continue in Pattern across, working buttonholes opposite markers leaving last 8 sts unworked, turn. (36 [44, 52] sts)
Next rows: Continue to work even working buttonholes opposite markers until piece measures 20 1/2 inches [21 1/2 inches,22 1/2 inches] from beg, ending with WS row.
Next row: For neck shaping, work across first 22 [30, 38] sts changing colors in last st, turn leaving rem sts unworked. (22 [30 38] dc)
Next rows: Work in Pattern, dc dec in next 2 sts at neck edge on every row until (19 [27, 35] sts) rem.
Next rows: Work even in pattern until piece measures same as Back to shoulders. At end of last row, fasten off.
Pocket Edging
Row 1: With RS facing, join A with sl st in first skipped st of pocket edge, ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (24 sc made)
Rows 2 & 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
Sew Pocket Lining to WS of Front. Rep on other Pocket.
Sleeve (make 2)
Row 1: With A, ch 46 [46, 54]; work in Pattern and Color Sequence across, turn. (44 [44, 52] dc made)
Next rows: Work in Pattern and Color sequence across, dc increase in each of next 2 sts (see Special Stitch) on each end of row of every row 0 [6, 4] times, then every other row 18 [15, 15] times, then every fourth row 1 [0, 0] times, ending with (82 [86, 90] sts).
Next rows: Work even in Pattern until Sleeve measures 20 1/2 inches [19 inches, 18 1/2 inches] from beg. At end of last row, fasten off.
Sew shoulder seams.
Fold Sleeves in half lengthwise, pin fold to shoulder seams on body, sew in place. Sew side and Sleeve seams.
Sew buttons on at markers.

Sleeve Trim
Rnd 1: With RS facing and working in starting ch on opposite side of row 1, join A with sc in seam, sc in each ch around, join with sl st in first sc. (44 [44, 52] sc made)
Rnds 2 & 3: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join. At end of last rnd, fasten off.
Border
Rnd 1: With RS facing, working around bottom, Fronts and neck edges, join A with sc in side seam, evenly space sc around with 3 sc at beg of each Front neck shaping and corners, join with sl st in first sc.
Rnds 2 & 3: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join. At end of last rnd, fasten off.
