Felting
Felt Bag, Handles and Flowers separately as follows: Place pieces in washing machine along with 1 tablespoon of detergent and a pair of jeans or other laundry. (Remember, do not wash felting with other clothing that releases its own fibers.) Set washing machine on smallest load using hot water. Start machine and check progress after 10 minutes. Check progress more frequently after pieces start to felt. Reset machine if needed to continue agitation cycle. As pieces become more felted, you may need to pull them into shape. When pieces have felted to desired sizes, rinse them by hand in warm water. Remove excess water either by rolling in a towel and squeezing, or in the spin cycle of your washing machine. Block pieces into shape, and let air dry. It may be helpful to stuff Bag with a towel to help it hold its shape while drying.
Finishing
With embroidery floss, sew Handle to each short end of bag using blanket st.
With embroidery floss, sew Flowers randomly around top of bag with 6 French Knots (see Fig. 1) in center of each Flower.
