Netting Heart Row 1: With netting, ch 4, dc in fourth ch from hook, turn. (First 3 chs count as first dc--2 dc made.) Front of row 1 is right side of work. Row 2: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, 2 dc in last st, turn. (4) Row 3: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, 2 dc in each st across, turn. (8) Rows 46: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, dc in each st across to last st, 2 dc in last st, turn. (14 sts at end of last row) Row 7: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, dc in each st across, turn. (15) Row 8: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, dc in each st across to last st, 2 dc in last st, turn. (17) Row 9: (Ch 2, hdc) in first st, dc in next 5 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next 5 sts, 2 hdc in last st, turn. (Ch-2 counts as first hdc19 sts) Row 10: Ch 2, dc in next 6 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next 6 sts, sl st in last st, turn. Yarn Heart Rows 1-12: With yarn, work rows 112 of Netting Heart. At end of last row, do not fasten off. Rnd 13: To join, holding both Hearts wrong sides together, ch 1, matching sts and ends of rows, working through both thicknesses, sc in each st, 2 sc in end of each row around with 5 sc in ends of row 1, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. Circle Materials
Finished Size: 6" across. Gauge: Rnds 1-3 = 4" across. Basic Stitches: Ch, sl st, dc. Special Stitch: For reverse sc, working from left to right, insert hook in next st to the right, yo, pull through st, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook (see schematics and drawings). Netting Circle Rnd 1: With netting, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 3, 15 dc in ring, join with sl st in top of ch-3. (First 3 chs count as first dc16 dc made.) Front of rnd 1 is right side of work. Note: Work rnds 2-4 in back lps (see Stitch Guide). Rnd 2: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, 2 dc in each st around, join. (32) Rnd 3: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, dc in next st, (2 dc in next st, dc in next st) around, join. (48) Rnd 4: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, dc in next 2 sts, (2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts) around, join. Fasten off. Yarn Circle Rows 1-4: With yarn, work rnds 1-4 of Netting Circle. At end of last rnd, do not fasten off. Rnd 5: To join, holding both Circles wrong sides together, working through both thicknesses, ch 1, reverse sc (see Special Stitch) in each st around, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. Square Materials
Finished Size: 5 1/2" square. Gauge: 3 dc =1"; 3 dc rows = 2". Basic Stitches: Ch, sl st, dc. Netting Square Row 1: With netting, ch 18, dc in fourth ch from hook, dc in each ch across, turn. (First 3 chs count as first dc--16 dc made.) Front of row 1 is right side of work. Row 2: Ch 3; working in front lps (see Stitch Guide), dc in each st across, turn. Row 3: Ch 3; working in back lps (see Stitch Guide), dc in each st across, turn. Rows 4-8: Repeat rows 2 and 3 alternately, ending with row 2. At end of last row, fasten off. Yarn Square Rows 1-8: With yarn, work rows 18 of Netting Square. At end of last row, do not fasten off. Rnd 5: To join, holding both Squares wrong sides together, working through both thicknesses, ch 1, reverse sc (see Special Stitches) in each st with 2 reverse sc in end of each row around, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. |
